Happy birthday again, my baby girl. You are my favorite person in my life. I don’t know where to start or where to end; words are never enough to describe you. Thank you for being the best part of my life. I never thought I would need someone like I need you. I have only known you to be my home—a place where my head gets a little quiet, where I can be soft. I don’t know how to be kind, and I don’t know a lot of things, but looking at you and thinking about you makes me realize a lot of things about myself, too. I just can’t explain how much you mean to me. I usually quietly run from things when they stir something inside me, and to be honest, no one sees it; everyone just accepted that I’m that way. Maybe that’s true, but the way you look at it just makes me want to hug you and let it all go for once.

I know these days haven’t been easy, but I’m so proud of the way you handle them without being harsh on anyone. You’re the strongest woman I have ever met.
